Macon County -- April 12, 2026: On April 10, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit, along with detectives, conducted a traffic stop on a female driver along U.S. 64 East near Nickajack Road for observed traffic violations, according to the Sheriff's Office.During the stop, deputies observed what appeared to be an open container of an alcoholic beverage in plain view inside the vehicle.
