Two Arrested on Burglary Charges in Burke County

Deputies arrested Glen Jimmy Lee Young Jr. and Frances Reba Young after responding to a break-in at a Hickory home on Johnson Bridge Road. The pair face second-degree burglary charges following the incident.

Burke County: April 9, 2026: A recent burglary in Burke County has led to charges against two Hickory residents, Glen Jimmy Lee Young Jr. and Frances Reba Young face second-degree burglary charges.

Burke County Sheriff's Office Report: Deputies with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious activity at a residence located at 4501 Johnson Bridge Road in Hickory.

Witnesses in the area observed a male and female attempting to enter the residence and promptly contacted law enforcement. Deputies responded and located the individuals a short distance away at 4465 Johnson Bridge Road, Lot 13. The subjects were identified as Glen Jimmy Lee Young Jr. and Frances Reba Young.

Upon arrival at the residence on Johnson Bridge Road, Deputies discovered that the home had been forcibly entered and showed clear signs of a break-in. Based on the investigation and information gathered at the scene, both Glen Young Jr. and Frances Young were taken into custody without incident.

Both individuals were charged with Second Degree Burglary. They were each issued no bond and their first court appearances were held on April 6, 2026.

*Suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
